It is hard to believe that only a year ago, I published The Thinking Horse Breeder.
Thank you so much to those who have bought it and provided me with wonderful feedback. I am glad you are getting so much enjoyment and information from it. People have told me it has changed their thinking or even changed their direction!
There are now 675 subscribers, a great leap from when we started at zero, with over 65 posts since inception. Granted not everyone will read every post every time, but we have a 39% open rate, which is outstanding. Remember, if you have a burning question, you can always ask and I will try to address it.
At the bottom of most posts is a DID YOU KNOW? which I hope is helpful to all OR sometimes a video demonstrating a few of our training methods. These are for you to see for yourself the basic steps and progression as we do it here at Chalani , as described in the book.
Even more amazing, this year I published another book. This one took a mere 3 months to write, format and publish. Yet writing a book or any other project, takes TIME. In most cases, we’re talking years, not months or weeks. I have collected and filed material for well over 25 years. The writing was merely putting it together.
writing a book or any other project, these things take TIME.
Like horse breeding, it’s a long game.
Buckle up and remember you can take it one day, one attempt, one step at a time to achieve your goals.
There have been some outstanding reviews on Amazon.
If you haven’t read any of them, here is the link -
The latest book, The Rannock Legacy is also getting good reviews.
Video #2 - This is a young 30 months colt Chalani Galaxy starting the process for backing. He is coming along very well.
Substack have introduced a new feature ‘Notes’. You can find it by going to my profile and clicking on the Notes tab at the top. In light of that, I really hope this little update was useful. If you’re able to support me by becoming a paid member that’d be amazing. If not, I’m still delighted you’re here.
We would really appreciate your feedback on the books, or this site.
It will only take a few minutes, but your feedback will help in future editions. Let me know what you think of these ideas -
Interviews. An interview series where I’ll feature other horse breeders, fellow horse people, writers or Substackers, and whoever else I find interesting (slash think you might find interesting). If you’re interested in getting featured, or have someone interesting you think I should interview, let me know in the comments below.
Your suggestion(s). I can’t promise I’ll incorporate the themes you suggest, but try me!
All comments will be read and appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Before you go, please give this post a quick restack. (Substack’s word for “share”).
Cheers!
