If you’ve read any of my past horse books, you’ll know that I don’t write about things I haven’t lived. Whether it’s bloodlines, breeding, or training, my writing has always come from experience, hands-on, dust-in-the-boots kind of learning.
And while horses may be my first love, I’d hazard a guess that most of you, like me, also live with a few four-legged companions of a smaller size. In fact, I don’t know many horse people who don’t have a dog at their side. A good dog is a fixture on many properties, whether they’re moving stock, holding the back seat of the ute, or keeping watch at the front gate.
So today I’m excited to let you know more about my newest book, coming very soon — this time, it’s for the dogs.
A comprehensive guide
Real food for real dogs: the budget-friendly homemade dog food book is now available for pre-order on Amazon as an ebook. It’s written in the same style you’ll be used to from my horse work — plain language, common sense, no gimmicks, and based entirely on what I’ve done myself.
You’ll find balanced feeding options, bulk-cook plans, feeding guides for working dogs, home remedies, and more than 60 homemade recipes that you can prep with the ingredients already in your kitchen.
This book is built with people like us in mind — time-poor, often feeding multiple dogs, and looking for a way to do it better without making it complicated. There are guides for raw feeding, slow cookers, gut health, joint support, weight control, puppies, seniors, and everything in between.
If you’ve ever wondered what’s really in that bag of kibble, or you’ve seen your dog slow down before their time, this book is for you.
Just like a well-fed horse carries themselves better, a well-fed dog shines in every way — coat, condition, movement, and mind.
If you’ve trusted my words before, I hope you’ll find this one worthy of your shelf too. You can pre-order it now as an ebook on Amazon, with the print version coming shortly. (I’ll let you know)
And of course, I’d love to hear your feedback once your dogs have had a taste.
Warmly,
Jeanette
